The sculptural contours of RHYTON's solid metal enclosure effectively addresses two challenges in loudspeaker design: diffraction & resonance.
With its mirror-polished ovoid outline and the rigidity of 90/10 bronze, the cabinet is blessed with having low distortion & being highly inert.
More than captivating the eye and delighting the ear, RHYTON is also meant to be felt - touching the cool bronze exterior becomes an alluring must.
By applying the principle of Design for Disassembly (DfD) & utilizing durable mono-materials, RHYTON is a repairable speaker built to last for generations.
For testing & tuning, we turned to Peter Chapman at Sound Hub Denmark's top-tier audio labs, where the clear, warm & sonorous RHYTON sound was dialled in.
For the final touch, we consulted audio wizard Torben Larsen, resulting in a crossover design with Duelund caps, Jantzen coils & Mundorf resistors.
We were inspired to give our speaker its eponym after eyeing one of the most luxurious objects of the Aegean Late Bronze Age: the ostrich egg rhyton.
Rhyton is etymologically tied to the Greek word for 'rhythm' (rythmós), both deriving from the same Ancient Greek verb rhéō, meaning 'to flow'.
RHYTON - “hand built to order”
The first RHYTON prototype was where the idea became reality.
Working with bronze allowed us to explore how form, mass and material could shape the sound. Every curve was refined, tested and listened to, balancing the demands of acoustics with the beauty of the sculptural form.
It became the foundation for everything RHYTON is today — where craftsmanship, design and sound come together.

For more than 600 years – up until around the year 1000 AD – people were buried at Lindholm Høje. At each of the around 700 cremation graves
from the Iron and Viking Ages, the dead body was burnt on location, and the graves were marked by stone circles.
These stone circles are still visible in the landscape in one of Denmark’s best preserved ancient monuments.
The story about the people who lived and died here is told inside the museum, which also houses an exhibition about ancient times in the Limfjorden area.

RHYTON is designed to become a natural part of the living space — equally at home during a gathering or a quiet evening with music.
Its sculptural bronze form adds character and warmth to the interior, while its refined sound creates an experience that goes beyond simply listening.
Beautiful to live with. Extraordinary to listen to.

What does "hand built to order" mean? Every RHYTON is made by hand after your order is placed. We do not mass-produce or keep finished speakers in stock. Each speaker is made specifically for its owner, which means a little more patience — but also a more personal and carefully crafted product.
Are there any downsides? The main trade-off is lead time. Because your RHYTON is made to order, it takes time to complete. In return, we avoid unnecessary production and only make what is actually ordered.
How can I pay?: We accept payment by direct bank transfer.
Do you ship to all European countries? Yes. We ship throughout Europe, including tax-free delivery to the UK. Shipping rates may vary for remote areas and islands, so please contact us for a specific quotation.
How long does delivery take? Once your RHYTON is ready to ship, delivery typically takes 1–10 days, depending on your location. Tracking information will be provided by SMS and email.
Can I try a product at home before deciding to keep it? No. RHYTON is made to order and is not currently available for home trials.
Does RHYTON come with a warranty? Yes. All RHYTON speakers include a manufacturer's warranty. The exact duration and terms are provided with your purchase and in the applicable warranty documentation
